Delinquent tax notices have been mailed to property owners with unpaid real estate accounts for tax year 2025. A total of 25,031 notices were sent to taxpayers who had not paid their taxes as of the beginning of the month. Tax Assessor-Collector Edelmiro "Eddie" Garcia has informed taxpayers that alternative payment plans are available to help them pay their taxes, penalties, and interest.

These payment agreements can help property owners avoid additional fees. As of July 1, 2026, delinquent real estate tax accounts were transferred to a law firm for collection enforcement, and a 15% to 20% attorney fee was added. Further details on payment plans and fees are available from the Tax Assessor-Collector's office.
