Recreational opportunities are expanding on South Padre Island. A new project is underway to add facilities for a popular sport. The Island already has a dedicated spot for this activity, which has been well-received by residents and visitors.

The existing facility has four courts and has become a year-round destination. However, demand is increasing and more space is needed. To address this, construction has begun on additional courts.
